Classes using log4j need to be in the lib/ext dir rather than the system
classpath.
If you need the classes to be on the system classpath move the log4j.jar
there
as well.

We have a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/log4j/Category in a
class that is used by an EJB. This class is in a jar that is in the
classpath of JBoss.
If I put log4j.jar in JBoss classpath we have an error. Any idea?
