Sourceforge strikes again.. here's the copy for the list I'm not sure about the problem with the classes not getting into the classloader created by the RARDeployer, this was never my experience using the 2.3 and 2.4 RARDeployer, however I'm not at all sure moving the classes into the rars is a good idea for 2.4 (I already did it for 3.0). The classes loaded in the RAR setup classloader are not accessible to anything else, such as applications: they have to be accessed via interfaces loaded from lib/ext. I think this change might make things like getting the underlying connection or PreparedStatement from a wrapped driver impossible.
On another resource adapter I am currently working on I am putting the classes in lib/ext for 2.4 use for this very reason. Jboss 3 supports properly packages resource adapters much better. I believe that bea weblogic is subject to this same problem at the moment. The whole situation is much better in jboss 3, where the classloaders created by the RARDeployer are added to the SystemLibrary classloader system, so everyone can see them. This is more or less essential for actual use of a cci resource adapter.
