Category: JBossServer Group: v2.4.x Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Better TCP port management Initial Comment: A better TCP port management (being able to consistently choose whichever port you want the mbean services to listen on, including OIL, UIL, EmbeddedCatalinaSX; not making any assumptions on the port a service runs anywhere; ...) would, in combination with IP aliases and destination NAT make it possible to run multiple JBoss instances on one machine fairly easily. This could be used by ISP's or as a 'development' server, where each developer has his own JBoss instance (and Java environment). Right now i cannot get JBoss to run by changing all portnumbers (JNDI,Hypersonic, Catalina, JMS, WebService, OIL, UIL, RMI, ...) from their default to [default + 100] for instance. If it can be done at all, it must be pretty tricky, and include changes in the src code. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=376688&aid=489919&group_id=22866 _______________________________________________ Jboss-development mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jboss-development
