Category: JBossCMP Group: v3.0 Rabbit Hole >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 7 Submitted By: Frank Langelage (lafr) Assigned to: Dain Sundstrom (dsundstrom) Summary: poor performance using CMR Initial Comment: I have an Item-Bean and an UnitOfMeasure-Bean. ItemBean holds a undirectional many to one relation to UnitOfMeasure via foreign-key mapping. When creating a new ItemBean, first the item row is inserted. >From ejbPostCreate() the relationship field filled. This first causes all items with the same UnitOfMeasure like the one just adding are read. So the more ItemBeans exist the longer it takes to add a new one. Since this a unidirectional relation this is definitly not neccessary to do. See also my conversation with Dain Sundstrom in the jboss-development mailing-list from 11th and 12th of December. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Dain Sundstrom (dsundstrom) Date: 2002-01-28 12:07 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=251431 I fixed a bug in the cmr field code where a field was not initialized at create, so the system would attempt to load the data from the database. The field is now correctly marked as "not-related," so you won't get the unnecessary database access. If there are other perfomance issues, please open a new bug report. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=376685&aid=492197&group_id=22866 _______________________________________________ Jboss-development mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jboss-development
