I am still getting this problem too. Thought it was fixed but now it has come back to haunt me :-(
When I start JBoss 3.0.0 RC2 (Branch_3_0_0), I get the following error and then JBoss hangs. The only way I can stop it is to kill the CMDTOOL, or kill the Java process but this causes plenty of JVM_Bind errors when I restart.
