Category: JBossDoc Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Emerson Cargnin (echofloripa) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: errors in JBoss 3.0.4 Dev. and Adm Initial Comment: Continuing to post erros in the adm and dev. 3.0.4 book : at first, I sugest to make a search for the word "inovker", which is one of the most frequent errors I found at this book, this being said i won't post any error related with this mistyped word. page 33 : the paragraph that starts with "The resultinng jboss-3.0 directory..." say taht "JDK_HOME is set to a Sun..." wouldn't it be JAVA_HOME, as it appears at listing 1-1? page 34 : start of page : the statement : "This script uses a number of custom Ant tasks masked a buildmagic constructs" should be "This script uses a number of custom Ant tasks masked as buildmagic constructs" item : Buiding the JBoss-3.0.4/Tomcat 4.0.6... - at number 1 it tell to downoad tomcat LE. I think that should be explained that this version of tomcat presumes that you are using jdk1.4 that already comes with xml libraries, isn't? item : Buiding the JBoss-3.0.4/Tomcat 4.0.12... - the first line says that the default release build performed in the previous section included the Jetty servlet container" i think it's wrong, it was tomcat 4.0.6 - the number two says about renaming it to jakarta- tomcat, is it right? page 36 : - Figure 1-3 : I think there's some inconsistency in the structure of testsuit lib dirs. By the way, in this moment i have just access to cvs via web, i can't find testsuite dir for 3.0 branch. - in the end of page, before the last paragraph, it says: "To run the unit tests use the build scripts" i think it should be script in singular. page 42 : in the fifth paragraph it says : "as described in the "Distributed Services Level on page 42 in this chapter". it's already on page 42, the text can be changed to : "in the next section" There are some contradictions about html adaptor of jmx : in page 42 it says that it's used the Sun JMX reference implementation, in page 45 third paragraph says the same. in page 49, section "Inspecting the Server - the JMX Console web app" : JBoss 3.0.1 and higher comes with its own implementation of a JMX HTML adaptor.
