glad to help on r/w etc. i agree - unit tests are not integration tests etc. and when code is well designed and modular, one can certainly 'simulate' enough stuff to be convinced its working in the unit tests, like security with remote mail machines etc.
so i guess later on we'll come up with some separate integration tests just to make absolutely sure that our server behaves as expected with a real independent mta or client out there on the net. actually, there are already some superficial integration testers out there like http://dnsreport.com/. i say 'superficial' only because they're one-pass and generic. mike <a href="http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3825496#3825496">View the original post</a> <a href="http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3825496>Reply to the post</a> ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
