To see if it is even there, do  'ls <ECLIPSE_DIR>/plugins/' if you see 
org.jboss.ide.eclipse* it means that plugins are there.

To see if it even partially working, open Eclipse and go to Windows->Preferences and 
see if JBoss-IDE is listed there. This means that Eclipse picked up at least some of 
your plugins (this does not mean they are all working though, but it is a start).
