I'm just throwing this out here, nix it if it's stupid, just trying to think. I need to grab the latest head as I haven't looked at the code in a few weeks.
What could be done is tie folder to role. This would allow multiple users to be tied to a role, or one user if all you want is one. In this scenario, a role would behave as a group, which may present some problems. WebLogic Portal used to do something like this, which ended up being confusing, the way they implemented it for web apps. How is a user (or an admin) going to want to manage security? Is a user going to want to look at a list of roles, or be able to add roles on the fly?
