You're not using the right jboss-cache.jar. Check out the generated TreeCacheAopMBean, 
and then do a jar tvf jboss-cache.jar |grep TreeCacheAopMBean.

You can also check like this:
javap -classpath jboss-cache.jar org.jgroups.cache.aop.TreeCacheAopMBean |grep 
putObject

to see if the method is found.
