where did you pull the snapshot from? i just did a complete checkout of all the code from cvs and was able to build and deploy news w/o any issues.
also, check the following path for the file: <PATH_TO_NUKES>/news/src/resources/nukes-news-lib-jar/org/jboss/nukes/addons/modules/news/templates to make sure the file is actually there. it's possible the snapshot is incomplete.
