Thanks, I found my answer. It turns out the only requirement is to place the Transparent RMI jar, trmi.jar, in the jboss_home/server/your_server/lib directory. Once done the session EJB can access the designated object from the RMI server in one single call and then all the objects methods are available. ...JohnM
