I'm running Eclipse 3.0 final and JBoss IDE 1.2.430 and just wanted to let you know that it appears to work for me.
If I start a new Java project, then highlight the project in the Package Explorer and then bring up the context menu, I have the 'Run XDoclet' option and if I select 'Properties' then I see the 'XDoclet configurations' entry too. No other steps were required. I know that doesn't really help you but at least you know it should work.
