Hi, The main concern about discontinuing the 2.1 series is the time.
When back-porting one or more plugins, a considerable amount of work must be done because : - Plugins structure may have changed - APIs may have been deprecated. - APIs may have been added that remove unnecessary developement. - Testing a release is a long cycle : heavy use, correction, packaging, installation on a clean distribution. It takes about 5 days to spot 95% of the bugs not found in the development environment, because runtime is slightly different. So as you see, it is just a matter of time. Laurent.
