I think XDoclet does not care whether it is dot or colon. The XDoclet documentation uses the dot syntax. Do you see problems?
If XDoclet does not care wheter it is a dot or colon, no (haven't tried yet). Otherwise source code updates would be required. Anyway, it's a good idea to be consistent with the 'normal' XDoclet syntax. BTW, there is no JBossWS in the 3.2-branch.
