Hello: I'm just trying JBoss and WS for the first time, and as I dig into the WSclientWeb model it appears that an "interface" is required (extending java.rmi.Remote) that assumes a particular coding approach on both ends of a web service--interface at the client end and implementation at the server end. The Dynamic Invocation approach seems to require same.
Does this mean that a J2EE server providing a web service would necessitate a Java implementation to invoke its services. This seems so far from what web services imply that it seems it could not be. However, some of the tutorials at Sun seem to suggest this. Separately, and being new to this, I wonder if there are basic instructions in another location from the wiki about building the particular "sample" app that I'm starting with. The examples all seem to rely on a "common" set of sub-directories, and I'm unclear on whether they become part of any project built. Last, the necessary RMI imports of "java.rmi.Remote" and "java.rmi.RemoteException" don't seem to be part of my Hotspot VM (Mac OS X) and I wonder where they can be obtained. Thanks in advance for any guidance. therlihy View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3851643#3851643 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3851643 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IT Product Guide on ITManagersJournal Use IT products in your business?
