Yes, BeanMetaData has a number of mechanisms for creating dependencies. Off topic: It is still on my todo list to come up with a generic mechanism for this so the KernelController will spot any dependency in the metadata and generate the necessary dependency list.
Currently it is a bit hardwired, e.g. it needs to know that <depends ...> adds a dependency to the KernelControllerState.CONFIGURED stage of the deployment.
