Hi Clebert. I've been trying out the JBoss profiler that you wrote - thank you !
Here are some things I've bumped into during testing it - I'm using the native version of the library together with Branch_4_0: 1) Files (serverspy_...._.log.gz) are created in the specified directory eventhough I havn't started the profiler from the jmx-console application. Also these files can't be decompressed by gunzip - I havn't tried the 'real' log files from an actual profiling session. 2) I sometime get a NullPointerException at LogFileEngine:813 after the logs have been analyzed. 3) I get warnings during startup of JBoss since FileCollection isn't Serializable. 4) I took me some time to figure out that I must set "ignore=*" as startup parameter if I want to ignore all classes not in "include=myclasses". Shouldn't "ignore" default to "*" ? Are planning for more features (JVMTI, component profiling; JSP, servlet, session, entity, JDBC) in the future ? Ideas ripped from: http://www.trifork.com/web/p4/Trifork_P4_ProductSheet.pdf I hope that you can use this feedback !
