Yes... that's intentional.

By the stop I"m closing all internal files and releasing them to a immediate 
analysis.
The pause would leave the files opened, so you could restart the data-capruting.



Just one thing. When you told you would have to restart the AS, I understood 
that you AS still running OK after you've stopped it, but you can't profile it 
any more. If your AS is dying by the stop there is something wrong, but I 
didn't understand that this is what's happening.
