In many ways - by giving ideas (but we won't have time to implement it now) - by providing documentation on how to create the current JSP for a theme - by removing the hardcoded link to something better (maybe it can be interesting to have the ability to configure 1 theme per portal, and define it somewhere in an XML file) - by coding a real theme api to make the life of portlet theme maker easier.
There is no standard for portals so anything that is easy to use would be great :) You can see in the JSP that there are regions defined. It can be interesting to make those regions easier to define, it could be by putting a region in a seperate file, or by surrounding it with tags. Other things to do, is to automatically check if a region is empty and not display it at all if there is nothing in it... Same for windows. It has to be modular as well, all the windows must be customizable... A lot to do, but it can be done step by step. Anyway whoever do that, please come back and let us know what you are doing :) View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3865262#3865262 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3865262 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting Tool for open source databases.
