I'm using a own made framework very similar to Struts. Maybe a solution can be that in the portlet there is only a "entry point" to a url.
For example: in my application to go to "customer" a url: http://localhost/ctx/MyApp.do?rArg=customer or to go to "billing" http://localhost/ctx/MyApp.do?rArg=billing and so on. I think the major problem will be a SSO...
