it is because of a tomcat bug in the jboss integration. it is fixed now in jboss4.0.2 head in CVS.
if you want to make it work now, you web application must contains a file in /WEB-INF/context.xml containing : | <Context cookies="true" crossContext="true"> | <Manager | className="org.apache.catalina.session.StandardManager" | pathname=""/> | </Context> | the crossContext="true" solves the problem.
