Another novice question, but if someone has the answer...

I am running jboss2 (built from CVS download two days ago) on a Linux
box (RH6.2/Linux 2.2.14-5.0), jdk is IBM1.3.  How do I *nicely* shutdown
the jboss server?  I see in the source code that a shutdown hook is
registered, and I thought that (normally) ctl-C would do the trick, but
it don't.  Any suggestions?  For now I just start the server in the
background and then rudely 'kill -9 <pid>' it.
