I always like to give praise when its due. So far Jboss is the only free
or inexpensive ejb server that I have been able to my application
running on.
Jonas was not bad but the ease of setup for development cycles is
offputting plus I ran into a bug trying to delete bmp beans.
Orion ran my ejbs fine but will not run my web app. Its based on the
apache struts framework and for some reason Orion is very fussy with
this part of it. They seem to have some problems with their classloader.
Also because they are not open source I can't look at the code to figure
out what's going on. They have not replied to my posting on their mail
list about the problem. Not very encouraging.
While Jboss has been alittle frustrating at times (Figuring out what's
been implemented and what's not etc) you guys have always replied to
questions and thats very important. I really like the ease of deployment
and setup. Hopefully the performance with follow soon.
Right now I don't have much time to offer for help with jboss (currently
working two jobs) but maybe a bit later I can offer my services to help
out.
