If someone could please help me, then I'll gladly format the response as
another "Getting Started" tutorial or something similar.

After my first 3 weeks of Java programming (8 years a video game developer),
I've decided to use EJB to solve my problem (working alone to create
multi-tiered project management software). I'm used to working in systems
that are new and undocumented (started Playstation coding when API was in
Japanese), and therefore am willing and excited about working with and
contributing to the jBoss project.

I feel I'm one step away from productivity. My current goal is to set a
breakpoint inside of an EJB deployed in jBoss and inspect variables therein.
After that, I'm on my way.

Here's the deal. I have jBoss working fine. I've depoyed the sample beans
with no problem. I want to use NetBeans as my IDE, but I'm willing to
switch to <insert-better-IDE> like Kawa.

QUESTIONS:
1) How do I debug a deployed bean using NetBeans and jBoss?

2) What is AN ideal environment for developing EJB (that doesn't cost
$3000)?

Eventually, I'm going to hire help, so I've been documenting everything I've
learned regarding EJB resources, programming enviroment set-up, and the
like. It would be really nice to have a "How to program and debug EJB using
Open Source tools" document. I can put that together with an answer to my
questions.

Sorry so verbose, I'm Too Much Coffee Man (tm) today.

Sincerely,
Jeff McArthur
