Now I'm getting an javax.ejb.FinderException? I don't understand what I'm
doing wrong. I even deployed the example "Interest" .jar from the download
off your site. I didn't make any chages to it. I simply dropped it in the
deploy dir., set the classpath _only_ to the InterestClient, ran it and got
the following error:
--- error -------
D:\JBuilder\kickass>java InterestClient
javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Cannot instantiate class:
org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory [Root exception is
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory]
----- end error----------
This should have worked the first time. Can anyone tell me why the hell the
learing curve on EJB's is a MF'n nightmare. I have created some pretty
comlex F'n distributed software in my day, had a few issues, but it just
seems as if there are too many variables wtih EJB's. I think part of the
problem is that the documentation is sparse and assumes that the developer
is already familiar wtih EJB's, RMI-IIOP, JNDI, XML, and _and_ jboss.
Can anyone help me get started on the right path here? I get nothing but
exceptions, and I followed the install directions to the tee.
