I've been dealing with this problem over the last week on an NT machine. As
I understand it jBoss decides whether or not to redeploy a jar in the deploy
directory based on the creation date of the ejb-jar.xml file in the jar's
META-INF. Unfortunately NT (and maybe win98) seems to have a problem getting
creation dates of files correct. I've noticed that you can even go as far as
deleting the file and creating a new empty one and sometimes the creation
date of the new file is the creation date of the older deleted file!! <Pause
for rant against MS in general and NT in particular>
The Visual JAWS prototype code I worked up over the weekend has a button on
it that forces JAWS to drop a table, precisely to get around this
foolishness. It's a prototype and the usual caveats apply - my comments and
others are available in the archives if you are curious. Its a 51k source
file so mail me if you want it, its too big to post here.
