yes it is a bug in the JDK on linux
as far as the load, the new caches from Simone don't really go up that high,
so hold off for a few hours until with straighten that new commit :)))
we will likely release a BETA3 at the end of the week, since the locking and
load stuff has improved a lot in the past few days and is being actively
debugged right now
