I'm not sure that the original message was answered, and I also have the same question
about jBoss and ports. I know that I need port 1099 for naming and 4444 for ?, but
there is one other port that is needed which seems to be a 'floating' port. It apears
that jboss has some way of choosing this port but when dealing with a firewall I need
more specifics than I can currently find. So, My question is - Is there a range that
is used? If so, where is this information stored? I did a search through the source
for port and could find nothing that would help me. Is anybody using jBoss with a
firewall between jBoss and the client?
