Hi All,
Jetty is pure java WebServer designed for embedded use etc
I have been watching Jetty [ http://jetty.mortbay.com ] for
sometime and just noted the following announcement at SourceForge
[ http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=46040 ]
"Jetty3 has been integrated as a module within the JBoss framework.
JBoss is an opensource EJB container and application server
(http://www.jboss.org).
Jetty-JBoss wraps Jetty in with the Java Management eXtension (JMX) so
that it can be plugged into the JBoss framework. With Jetty-JBoss, J2EE
deployment files (ear files) can be seamlessly deployed in both the
servlet and EJB containers. This provides an intra-VM HTTP/1.1 servler,
servlet container and EJB container for optimal performance and
deployment simplicity.
This integration is currently available in the CVS versions of JBoss and
Jetty and will be included in their next releases"
Can anyone comment on whether Jetty-JBoss is the best kept JBoss secret,
coz www.Jboss.org has nothing on it, and whether Jetty will become the
standard shipping container for JBoss, over Tomcat perhaps?
Kind Regards
