While apache has been put in front of Jetty (see
http://jetty.mortbay.com:8080/wiki/JettyWiki), there is no real need.
Jetty is an effecient and full featured WWW server and can serve
static and dynamic content equally well. It can even serve CGI.
The is also SSL support - all in the one small neat package:-)
