Scot,

are you sure, your .war file contains a "web.xml" deployment descriptor
in the "WEB-INF" directory?!?!?!

try: 

jar tf amos.war <enter>

...
WEB-INF/web.xml
...

if it does _not_ contain a line like this, you dont have a deployment
descriptor (which is mandatory).

Note: uppercase/lowercase is important!!!
