Folks - jBoss docs say that clients require 1.2 or higher VMs.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck in a situation where my client needs to
connect from a 1.1 VM . For those of you who are curious, I'm writing
a Palm HotSync conduit in Java that needs to talk to an EJB server.
Palm conduits in Java support only the 1.1.3 JRE, which is extremely
annoying. The Palm HotSync manager uses 1.1 JNI to talk to the VM, so
...

Anyway, the moral of the story is that I'm stuck. It looks to me like
the jBoss client .jars require 1.2; in particular, I'm getting
NoClassDefFounds on weak references and the like in
org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContext.

Any thoughts? Anyone know how hard it would be to take out the
mandatory weak references and such from the client software? Or if
anyone else has gotten this to run without?

This is likely to be prohibitive for me, and man, I'd hate to start
tackling Weblogic right now :>

Thanks,
Ben Flaumenhaft.
