Okay. I've been reading the list for awhile now...
My company is currently using PHP for some Web apps and we've outgrown it.
For various reasons we want to use J2EE. Our app with use JSPs, Servlets,
EJBs and Taglibs.
I have experience using Tomcat and Apache together and I've been pleased
with the results.
I am interested in jBoss but after reading the list for a bit I have some
questions...
1. You talk about optimized vs. non-optimized. Does this just mean using the
embedded Tomcat so the communication between jBoss and Tomcat is all in VM
instead of using the networking stack?
2. We are planning to deploy on Linux (currently 2.2 kernel). Which Linux
JDK (Sun or IBM) is better in terms of stability/speed?
Any info on either one of this issues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
