you need to be using a 1.3 VM for ths shutdown hook to work. BTW
the hook is a hook into the console that responds to Control-C
(and perhaps other) events.
Is it possible to stop and start jboss remotely? I cant recall seeing
any code to that effect but it should be doable given the JMX architecture.
How about making the Main class extend Service and have it register
itself with jndi?
