It's vendor specific. Or to be more correct: dependant on the O/R layer
you are using. JBoss has JAWS as the default O/R layer. For integration
of other layers check the mail archives. This is why the O/R mapping
does not go to ejb-jar.xml but to jaws.xml (also in META-INF) instead.
If you don't provide a jaws.xml jBoss uses the defaults from
conf/default/standardjaws.xml.
