Is that correct? Section 12.3.1 of the spec. seems to say that this will cause RemoteException to be thrown to the client, the bean instance to be discarded and the transaction to be rolled back. If that's what you want...
But you shouldn't be able to catch EJBException on the client.

You can throw an EJBException in ejbCreate. Then catch on the client where
you do the x.create().
