Sorry if this is irrelevant, but I missed the beginning of this thread - but
are you using jboss 2.0 or the latest from CVS - cos if its the latest from
CVS, the config files have all changed - you just need to put  entries in
the jboss.jcml - one in the JDBC element and a section for the sql server
data source - copy the hypersonic or instant db one that is there already.
