Hello, everybody. I am still working on trying Petstore to deploy on JBoss/Tomcat. Up until today I've been working with CVS snapshot of JBoss from about 2 weeks ago with modifications submitted by Tom Coleman. We were able to deploy the Petstore but one problem remained -- we would always be unable to enter secure areas of the Petstore. It turned out to be a problem of EmbeddedTomcat not handling form-based security which has been creeping up in the mailing list for a some time already. So, today I've seen the post that the latest CVS snapshot together with contrib (for tomcat-service.jar) take care of that last issue. Well, after getting the new snapshot to run, I am running into an unexpected deployment problem -- EARs that deployed nicely previously, refuse to do so any more. After initial investigation, we are running into the same problem as before applying Tom Coleman's patch to previous snapshots of JBoss. The issue is that the Verifier's ClassLoader's classpath points only to its own EJB, while in a multiple EJB-jar EAR, all the EJB-jars have to be in the ClassLoader's classpath. There seems to have been an attempt to fix this in the current snapshot but not fully -- the J2eeDeployer adds all the EJB jars to the common classpath but when it comes to deploying individual jars, there is still the same classpath issue. I'll try to fix it myself if I can. If anyone has done this already, any pointers to info would be appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anatoly Akkerman Computer Science Dept.
