Take a look at "Mastering Enterprise Java Beans and the Java 2 Platform
Enterprise Edition" by Ed Roman

I have found it extremely useful in understanding EJBs in general and is has
a pretty extensive coverage of transactions, transactional models, etc...
I also have the O'Reilly book "Enterprise Java Beans" and do not recommend
it. Though it is an O'Reilly book, it leaves out too much detail for my
taste.
