Hi All-

Thanks for pulling me into this discussion. I would
like to make a couple of points:

- The purpose of my article was to cause some
controversy in complex persistence land, but not to
really point to any application server. My mention of
WebLogic and JBoss was really intended to imply issues
with dependent objects (since they both have EJB 2.0
support but weren't quick to add dependent objects).
I did leave out Orion's implementation which does have
dependent objects, but missing relationships. I
didn't know Orion had that support at the time I wrote
the article, otherwise it would have gotten
appropriate press.

- Contrary to popular opinion, I am aware of the
bigger picture. The EJB 2.0 specification is having
certain portions re-written right now -- particularly
dependent objects. The WHOLE point of my article was
really to lay the ground work for my next article --
which describes dependent objects upcoming
replacement. I'm aware of that replacement now and
I'm sure that it will garner just as much controversy.

Anyways, if you have any other questions, please feel
free to write.

Hi,

It seems that I also do not understand the "Big Picture". Can you please
explain your statement?

Best regards,

Wim

He doesn't seem to know the Big Picture, so most of that article is
irrelevant.
