I also cannot install the forums. I have jboss-portal 2.4.0-CR1, and have downloaded forums from http://labs.jboss.com/file-access/default/members/portletswap/downloads/portlets/collaborate/jboss-forums-2.2.1RC1.zip
I have done a cp -r of the .ear directory to server/default/deploy, which is what I assume we are meant to do (there are no instructions).
