Can you post the code in the ejbCreate method of StrategyBeanBMP? Also, can you point us to the statement in that method which is throwing this ClassCastException? Furthermore, post the output of the following command(run it from command prompt): 1) cd to the deploy folder of your server and run the following: jar -tf myApp.ear Replace myApp.ear, in the command above, with the name of your ear file. Post the output here. That will give us an idea about the packaging of your application and the jars/classes involved in it.
