I wanted to confirm if run.bat & shutdown.bat files always exist in a JBoss 4.0.4 installation on a windows OS. I would like to start & stop JBoss and was wondering if it is safe to assume that these batch files would always exist immaterial of whether JBoss was installed as a service or if it was installed as a winzip extract.
If the above files always exist, what would happen if JBoss was installed as a service and somebody uses shutdown.bat file to stop JBoss.
