Thanks for your input. For this particular test I was trying to overload the server with requests to see if anything extremely bad happened. Is it reasonable to suppose that the server isn't accepting/processing the HTTP requests because it is already so loaded with work? Like you said, this functionality is hindered by another bottleneck?
