What I'd suggest then (and would be a good approach anyway) is to use a what
'we' call PAO, Process Access Object, just like a DAO. Use more business
friendly method signatures in these like
finishPayment(Amount amount) { }
The implementation can be jbpm 3 now and more easily changed to the jBPM 4
(stable/client) api.
