hi, the "<jar-file>" is not needed, it's the EAR structure which needs fixing; the persistence.xml goes in META-INF inside one of your ejb jars, and in turn you need an application.xml inside the ear's META-INF to list the ejb jars. Look into some working example, there are lots in the Seam distribution, or search for the application.xml format.
