Did you use New Seam Project wizard to create the project? Could you check if the project is deployed correctly. Open JBoss Server View and see pop-up menu for JBoss AS/<your_project>. Select "Explore" there. Is there correct war? Is there <project-name>-ds.xml file? And please show us a full JBoss AS log.
