I followed the steps you mentioned and used the two classes mentioned in another thread. I added log statements to see what was happening. Firstly in the CommandDelegate I added a log statement to select all ProcessInstanceInfo which returns results. However when I look in the console I cannot see anything. In the log section of the console I can see "0 process instances returned in 0ms". Secondly I notice in the tomcat logs that a call is made to load the image of the process definition however it's making a request to Guvnor to get the image. I feel so close to getting this work..
