I am trying to figure out how to make JBoss start faster. We run JBoss on servers and laptops the machines are fairly fast but with database and heavy virus checking rules as well as a COTS vendor with a very large ear file making deployment is slow. We have a vendor with a 17Meg ear file that more than doubles the start time of our JBoss application.
Is the a setting in JBoss to help it start faster considering we have large a very large ear file? It seems JBoss explodes the ear on every startup. Is there a setting to make it only explode the file if there is a new ear deployed.
